JAA CPL !!!!

I'm now a professional pilot !!!
This morning I had my chekride. It was all ok, except for the diversion, I underestimated the wind, and slided out of my road for a few degrees. The visibility was quite poor, and I missed the city I was going to. Fortunately I was eventually allowed to use a VOR DME to spot exactly where I was and save the diversion...
Well That was quite stressfull but in the end I made it !! JAA CPL !

Night flights ...

For the commercial, we've got to do some night flights too. Here are some pictures from the flights we did last week. We went on Lille Lesquin Airport (LFQQ) which is the big regional airport around here.

Simulator...

During the Commercial pilot training, we have to do 5 hours of low visibility flight training in a simulator. We use the BE58 simulator to simulate a TB20. The computer software uses TB20 performances and we couple the engine levers. We also hide the engine parameters of the right engine.
Configured in that way, the BE58 simulates exactly the TB20 .
Here are some pictures of this sim.
I enjoyed this sim training a lot. It is really nice.

More pictures

We changed instructors. We got a new one who is IFR instructor as well. This allowed us to take off in IFR with very bad weather conditions and to go practise no visibility pilot skills... inside the clouds. That was a lot of fun. We even did a barrel roll !!!!! :-)
Here are some pictures of these flights.

some pictures; second flight in TB20.

Here are some pictures of the second flight I did on the TB20 as pilot in command. This is the type of aircraft I'm gonna fly for about 25 hours to get my Commercial Pilot License.
There is a lot of work, as the school policy is to make students know everything by heart (check lists ... etc) The paper check list comes only as a way to verify we didn't mistake.
So during these first flights, I and my flight partner are struggling to apply this policy...
Otherwise, the TB20 is a very very nice aircraft, with 250HP, variable pitch... very nice to pilot. It's a lot of fun !!!! :)
