Nice video. Bandah Aceh landing

VIP flight, Medan, Bandah Aceh, Kutacane, Medan

This morning, we did a charter flight... We had to get our VIP passengers in Bandah Aceh, and get them to Kutacane. Then back to Medan.
We had to wake up really early, like 0330, as the VIP were expected to board at 0700 in Bandah Aceh, 01h30 flight away from Medan...
So We took off empty from Medan, which was sweet as we can relax a bit, take pictures, try the O2 mask, Have a bit of fun... It was quite nice as we were flying almost formation with another company caravan and a Casa from another company (We all carry the same VIP group to Kutacane).
Then Bandah Aceh and the VIPs, Scenic flight, flying over lakes and volcanos and finaly landing at Kutacane. Lots of people were waiting for our VIPs, folkloric welcome party, military and police security (swat mean looking type of guys, back strategic outfit and M4 rifle...)...

Since I arrived here in Medan, the only picture I posted is one of the swimming pool which is kinda weird for an aviation oriented photo blog ...
So I took some pictures and videos on the ramp and in flight today to share them here with you ! Here it is ... :

Medan Base.

So that's now been a month since I arrived in Indonesia...:
After the ground school and flight training in Pangandaran, I'm now arrived at my first assigned base as copilot : Medan, Sumatra, Indonesia.
The flight schedule is great. Next week, starting tomorrow monday, I'll have 4 days on : Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, flying about 5+ hours each one of these days. The rest of the time I'll be either off, or on duty monitoring Medan Ops radio freq and the Bluesky system...
The housing at Medan can be shitty if you're not in the new housing (my case now) but the food is good and the swimming pool is really nice. So I'm quite happy so far with this base :)

Nice afternoon in St Tropez

I'm back home, in the St Tropez area. Spent a nice afternoon there, took a few shots.
There are major works under way in the harbor as well. They enlarge the pier with big rocks to protect the harbor from winter storms I'd guess. So big caterpillars and cranes are working there.
I'll miss St-Tropez a bit maybe when I'll be so far away in Indonesia. So I took a few shots.
